What to do in Rouffach

Bucolic and gourmet, the Pays de Rouffach lies on the famous Alsace wine route. With its medieval feel and typical Alsatian way of life, Rouffach is a charming stopover for visitors. Discover its ramparts, bell tower, narrow streets and ancestral houses. You can also enjoy Rouffach's surroundings, including the Colmar region, the Parc des Ballons des Vosges and the towns on the other side of the Rhine.

Colmar region

Emblematic of Alsace, the town of Colmar is one of the region's jewels. As the "Capital of Alsace Wines" and the "Little Venice of the North", it boasts a rich architectural and historical heritage, with many remarkable sites and districts. Half-timbered houses, canals and buildings are a must-see! Around Colmar, picturesque villages and exceptional vineyards abound.

Rouffach lies at the foot of France's largest regional nature park, made up of forest areas rich in flora and fauna, as well as a hundred or so communes. Numerous activities are organized in the park, all year round, between the territories of Alsace, Lorraine and Franche-Comté.

The other side of the Rhine

Twenty kilometers from the Rhine, discover the town of Friebourg-en-Brisgau. Both modern and authentic, Friebourg has everything to charm visitors. The old town is famous for its cathedral and its "Bächle", small open gutters lining the sidewalks. A flagship of urban ecology in Europe, the city also boasts a number of pleasant car-free eco-districts.
